HOW TO NAME A FOLDER “CON” ON WINDOWS


First and foremost, try creating a new folder by right clicking on your desktop. Name the folder “con” without the quotes. Well you will receive an error message; try it on your friend’s laptops or even desktop. You still get the same message.
But it can be done using command prompt. Follow the following steps carefully:
  1.         Open your command prompt by clicking windows logo + r (for win7 users)   or click START button then RUN (for XP Users).
 


2. Type “CMD” without the quotes.

 

 
1.    3.Press ENTER

 
1.       4.Type md\\.\\c:\\con

 
1.       5.Press ENTER
Check the path (i.e. c:\) to see your name folder named “con”. You can use this trick to create as many folders as possible.
